We congratulate our new president, Barack Obama, for his stellar victory on Tuesday,
November 4th, 2008!
For the next four years at least it seems some quantum of sanity has returned to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
This
Humble web site was created nine years ago to commend the 105,405,100Americans
who participated in the Presidential Election of November
7th, 2000 in exercising their right to vote. Though Election 2000 is now a relatively forgotten footnote of history, we haven't had the heart to take this site down...just yet. Many Americans shall always lament that if just a few more of you who supported Mr. Gore in their hearts had taken the time to walk to their polling place that day, the heartbreaking history of the last nine years could have been immesurably altered. This lesson, so hard learned, seems to have resulted in record numbers of Americans participating in the 2008 election. In this at least, George Bush may have, with involuntarily irony, helped his country.
Original Site Dedication:
If you
are among the 51,003,238 who had the brains not to vote
for for George W. Bush, and instead casted your vote for the
Democratic nominee Albert Gore Jr....congratulations. Three
years ago you elected him as the 43rd President (and first
P.I.E.) of The United States of America.
If you are among the 3,949,467 who
voted for Ralph Nader or another third party candidate, you
are to be commended for taking the time to exercise your right
to vote, voting your conscience, and participating in citizenship.
If you
are among the 50,456,002 who voted for George W. Bush
we hope that the actions of his eight year "administration" have
caused you to pause and reflect on your decision to do so.
If not click HERE and reflect
a bit.
Finally if you are among the over
100,000,000 voting age Americans who did not know there
was an election, did not care there
was an election, or couldn't find the time to to put down the
bong and turn off the television for long enough to go to your
local polling place, SHAME ON YOU. Click HERE for
an explanation of the words "polling place".

It is not ours.
It belongs to the nation and we are trustees for the use
